The Greatest Hip Hop Artists of All Time

Artists

The world of hip hop has evolved in ways and methods that people didn’t expect. From spitting lines of pure poetry to club beats, it has all that one needs to have a good time. Behind this massive impact are artists who have taken the genre and shaped it into something extraordinary. As a result, one needs to honour these artists and shed credit where it is due. For that purpose, we have made a list of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.

Tupac Shakur

One of the world’s greatest rappers requires no introduction because hip hop will forever be grateful to the infamous Tupac Shakur. As a fearless artist, 2Pac created a massive impact with his music, and it is not something that we get to see often. Songs like “Brenda’s Got A Baby,” “Dear Mama,” and “Only God Can Judge Me” tend to define this artist that we all know as 2Pac. While his killing and multiple incidents that lead to it still leave us shocked, his music lives forever.

Notorious B.I.G

Christopher George Latore Wallace or the Notorious B.I.G is another rapper who defined the art of hip hop and took the genre to a whole new level. His lyrical ability and unique vocal range remain unmatched, and there are quite a few rappers in the game who stand to topple Biggie. While his clashes with 2Pac and other gangs are still familiar, leading hip hop artists tend to look over his music as a form of inspiration. As a result, Biggie is another hip hop legend who graced the stage with pride.

Eminem

The third spot is always debatable but is it high time that we give the real slim shady some props. Marshall Bruce Mathers III or Eminem is arguably one of the greatest rappers of all time, and his career is a testimony to that fact. With a classic rags to riches story, Eminem beat all odds and went on to claim hip hop with help from Dr.Dre. The Detroit legend has numerous albums to his credit, and his record tends to highlight the kind of success that he has achieved over time.

Ice Cube

The mastermind behind N.W.A and the one responsible for one of the greeted diss tracks; Ice Cube is another hip hop legend which the game tends to forget every now and then. While the new age of rappers are going ahead through the easy route, Ice Cube took things differently and made his time in hip hop an impactful one. The 90s was his era, and there were very few emcees who could stand up to the man who wrote, “No Vaseline.” Thanks to all that, Ice Cube makes the list in style.
